Liardetia angigyra (von Moellendorff, 1897)
Möllendorff (1897) original descriptions on Kaliella angigyra – “T. vix rimata, elate trochiformis, tenuis, pellucida. subtilter striatula. luteo-cornea. Spira valde elevata lateribus convexiusculis, apice acutulo. Anfr. 7 vix convexiusculi, sutura filiformi disjuncti, ultimus carina filiformi crenulata cinctus. Apertura sat obliqua, late securiformis, peristoma rectum, acutum, margo columellaris superno callosus. sat reflexus.”
Benthem-Jutting (1950) descriptions on Liardetia angigyra angigyra – “Shell high conical, with flat sides and base. Periphery acutely keeled, with a thread-like keel. In shape it is an enlarged edition of Liardetia acutiuscula, but the top angle is wider and the side profile of the shell flatter. Greenish-yellow, shing and transparent. Delicately striated according to the growth lines. This sculpture is crossed with still finer spiral lines. Whorls 7, regularly increasing in size, little rounded. Hence the profile of the shell is an almost ideal cone. Suture superficial. Keel somewhat crenulated. Spire elevated, but apex not sharp. Umbilicus narrow. Aperture rhombiform, somewhat oblique. Peristome sharp, not continuous, the columellar side vertical, somewhat reflected, hiding part of the umbilicus.”
Kaliella angigyra – “Diam. 4, alt. 4.5 mm.” (Möllendorff, 1897); Liardetia angigyra angigyra – “Dimensions: height 4.2-4.4, breadth 3.8-4.2, height of aperture 1.3 mm. The type specimen from Mt. Gedeh (Mus. Senckenberg no. 4092) is high 4.4, broad 4.2 mm, with an aperture of 1.3 mm height. In the original diagnosis the height is given as 4.5, the breadth as 4 mm.” (Benthem-Jutting, 1950)
