“Only a single specimen of the shell, the most salient features of which are the inflated whorls, deeply cut suture, and fine, regular costulations.” (Sykes, 1903)
Sykes (1903) original descriptions on Diplommatina skeati – “Testa sinistrorsa, vix rimata, ovato-fusiformis, aurantio-rufa, solidiuscida; anfr. 6½, convexi, primi laeves, reliqui costulis parvis subremotis regidariter sculpti; sutura bene impressa; apertura fere circularis, peristomate incrassatulo, bene reflexo, subalato; lamella columellaris parva.”
Laidlaw (1949) descriptions on Diplommatina skeati – “A small species about 3.1 mm long. Whorls moderately inflated, with close ribbing. Metastome not much developed.”
