Möllendorff (1902) original descriptions on Sinoennea malaccana – “T. anguste perforata, ovata, tenuis, pellucida, hyaline-alba. Spira sat ventricosa, sursum obtusa. Anfr. 6 modice convexi, costulis ad suturam distinctis, medio evanescentibus sculpti, ultimus circa perforationem subcompressus, breviter ascendens. Apertura fere verticalis, auriformis; peristoma breviter expansum, crasse labiatum, margo dexter sursum nodulo dentiformi munitus, tum attenuatus, recedens, cum lamella parietali valde elevata valida sinulum ovalem formans, margo columellaris superne longe in anfractum penultimum protractus, lamella humili valde recedente instructus. Dens palatalis lamella parietali oppositus.”
Benthem-Jutting (1961) descriptions on Sinoennea malaccana – “Shell ovoid-pupoid, slightly compressed dorso-ventrally (but not so extreme as in S. irregularis Mlldrff). White, glassy transparent. Two top whorls smooth, following ones ribbed with weak, distantly placed, vertical ribs, 32 on the last whorl. The ribs are well developed in the sutural region, but weaker on the convex part of the whorl. The ribs are well developed in the sutural region, but weaker on the convex part of the whorls. No spiral striation. Top pointed, but not sharp, base rounded, umbilicus open, narrow. Whorls 6, convex, regularly increasing in size, the last whorl narrower. At each half turn of the whorls one or two ribs are stronger than the others, this strengthening the impression that the shell is compressed. Suture distinct. Aperture almost vertical, irregularly quadrangular with rounded angles. Peristome continuous, thickened and reflected, especially on the parietal side where it is fixed to the penultimate whorl. Parietp-angular lamella strong, somewhat projecting forward. Upper palatal tooth strong, at the edge of the exterior peristome margin. Lower palatal tooth weaker, lying deeper in the shell at the basal side. On the columellar side a weak fold in the interior of the aperture. At this point the exterior of the shell is somewhat inflated in the umbilical region.”
Sinoennea malaccana – “Dimensions: Height 2.2, width 1.3, height of aperture 0.9 mm” (Benthem-Jutting, 1961)
Type locality – “Kelantan” (Möllendorff, 1902)
