Morphology:
Tomlin (1948) original descriptions on Odontartemon balingensis – “Shell white, much depressed and distorted, suture rather deep; whorls seven, covered with very close, regular and regularly spaced, moderately retractive riblets which usually seem to be worn away on the base of the shell; umbilicus very deep, showing the riblets on the whorls throughout; mouth regularly oblong, with a strong lamella in the centre of the paries; peristome strongly thickened and slightly depressed below its junction with the penultimate whorl.”
